Solid or Stranded?Solid Cable is recommended for internal use, such as in between walls, between wiring closets, and for lengths over 25 feet. Recommended for use up to 100 meters (328 feet). Stranded Cable is flexible alternative to solid cable. It is most commonly used to connect PC's and other end devices to routing devices in residential locations. Because of higher attenuation (signal fall-off) it is best for use in runs of 25 feet or less.
